and economic growth by touring the Midland College Advanced Technology
Center. The Commerce Departments Economic Development Administration
invested $900,000 in March to help build the technology center.

United States and Russia during a visit to Houston, Texas. Secretary
Evans will tour KEM-TRON Technologies, a small manufacturing business
that began exporting environmental technologies to Russia in 1990.

Evans and U.S. Secretary of Energy Spence Abraham will host the U.S./Russia
Commercial Energy Summit in Houston, Texas. The summit will be an

potential partnerships for international energy development.
