IMMEDIATE RELEASE Monday, June 17, 2002 U.S. Commerce Secretary Don Evans will lead 15 small and medium-sized American businesses to Monterrey and Mexico City, Mexico this week on a business development mission. Throughout the week, Secretary Evans will participate in bilateral briefings and meetings to promote economic relations between the United States and Mexico. Specifically, Secretary Evans is scheduled to meet with Ministers Derbez and Martens and the Governor of Nuevo Leon. Evans will address the American Chambers of Commerce in both Mexico City and Monterrey. Tuesday June 18th Secretary Evans will witness a Trade Development Agency signing and participate in a press conference. Wednesday June 19th Secretary Evans will tour a Ford Motor Company Elementary School and hold a press conference following the tour. |
