Center for Telemedicine Law

Mission statement:

The Center for Telemedicine Law distributes information and serves as a resource on legal issues related to telemedicine. Members will be connected via e-mail and have the opportunity to engage in dialogue regarding the issues they face in their practice. Through e-mail and a newsletter, members also receive information about developments in state and federal law affecting telemedicine. Members also have the opportunity to participate in task forces formed to report on the legal and regulatory obstacles confronting telemedicine. Task forces on Licensure and on Reimbursement have already been formed. Those task forces held meetings with participation from interested organizations and governmental agencies and are in the process of drafting reports summarizing the current state of the law in those areas and analyzing the various alternatives for addressing those issues.
