2 March – The Council of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) has adopted new oxides of nitrogen (NOx) standards which are 12 per cent more stringent than the previous levels agreed to in 1999. The decision, for applicability in 2008, was taken unanimously by the 36-member Council.

TCB Fellowships Courses
ICAO's Technical Co-operation Bureau is pleased to announce several fellowships awards for courses taking place in 2005 at the Polytechnical University of Madrid.

ICAO Journal
No. 9, December 2004 – The 35th Session of the ICAO Assembly held in Montreal recently attracted more than

1,300 participants from around the world – a record number. Coverage of the outcome of the Assembly, which adopted 32 resolutions on every aspect of international civil aviation, begins on page 5.

ICAO eSHOP                                                                                                                                              
ICAO eSHOP is a Web-based information service. This service offers ICAO customers online access to various sets of ICAO documentation for an annual fee. Subscriptions give access to the full texts of International Conventions and Protocols, Annexes to the Convention on International Civil Aviation, documents pertaining to Air Traffic Management and the Annual Reports of the Council.
