Also referred to as the Social Indicator System, this data system was created by the Indiana Division of Mental Health and Addiction to assist communities in the identification of local substance abuse problems. This site combines information from the 2000 Census, Indiana State Department of Health, Federal Bureau of Investigation Uniform Crime Report, Indiana Division of Mental Health and Addiction, Indiana Department of Education, and the Indiana Adult Household Survey and breaks it down into an easy-to-use format where you can search for specific information in your county or any Indiana county you wish to know more about. The Social Indicator System gives detailed information about each dataset and gives benefits for using each dataset.
