The objectives of the National Resource Center include promoting and nurturing effective and culturally appropriate substance abuse prevention and treatment services for Native populations, and identifying culturally appropriate effective evidence-based substance abuse prevention and treatment practices and disseminating them so that they can be applied successfully across diverse tribal communities. The resource center also provides training, technical assistance and products to expand the capacity and quality of substance abuse prevention and treatment practitioners serving this population.
