AMHPS has a three-fold mission that includes: • Improving the health status of African-Americans and other minorities. • Growing the representation of qualified African-Americans and other minorities in the health professions. • Strengthening our institutions and programs as well as other programs throughout the nation, which in turn will improve the role of minorities in the provision of health care.
