These may seem very simple, but anything that reduces our dependency on carbon-generating power is a step in the right direction.

To aid people who are trying to make more energy efficient choices, the Environmental Protection Agency will give the Energy Star label to products which it has deemed environmentally conscious. These products do not use large amounts of electricity, nor do they produce harmful greenhouse gasses. Numerous energy efficient appliances have earned this label, from battery chargers to computer systems. Simply search for the logo featuring a star underneath an arch and you’ll be on your way to energy efficiency.
