POSITION:

Research Plant Physiologist/Research Geneticist (Plants)

LOCATION:

Madison, Wisconsin

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:   The incumbent will develop microspore embryogenesis of cucumber with the goal of regenerating haploid or diploid plants.  This position is located in the Vegetable Crops Unit in the Department of Horticulture on the campus of the University of Wisconsin–Madison. 

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:   Recent Ph.D. in botany, plant physiology, plant genetics, plant molecular biology, or closely related field is required.  Experience with plant cell cultures is required.  Knowledge of plant transformation is desirable.  Preference will be given to applicants having documented experience with plant cell cultures.
