POSITION:

Research Entomologist

LOCATION:

Logan, Utah

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: The position is located in the Bee Biology and Systematics Laboratory.  The incumbent will revise the Nearctic Osmia, a large genus (approx. 160 species) of considerable importance due to its significant pollination role in some ecosystems and its potential for manageable crop pollination.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Recent Ph.D. in Entomology or Biology with an emphasis on entomology is required.  Demonstrated experience in revisionary studies of aculeate Hymenoptera is required, experience with the taxonomy of solitary bees is preferred.
