Greiners Lagoon (Fremont, OH)

(January 2006) A public meeting was held March 29 at the Birchard Public Library to inform the local community on progress at the site. At that time, EPA was very close to completing the design and was awaiting final comments from Ohio EPA. The final remedy was under consideration and it is expected that, weather permitting, the work plan will be completed in the fall and or winter 2005. Although the Greiners Lagoon site is not a Superfund site, a five-year review will be part of the remedy to ensure the remedy is effective.
