Figure 28 shows the GIS display for data from Federal Region X, the North-western States. On this display, the hospital indicator ("H") has been color-coded to provide a rapid visual assessment of capabilities:

• Green "H"—ED open to receive patients.
• Red "H"—ED closed to ambulance patients (on "divert").
• Black "H"—No data received for this hospital.

Alternative care sites, if present, would be similarly represented, but with an appropriately colored "A" indicator.
