The Department has established the U.S. Department of Transportation Procedures for Conducting a Department-wide Search and Position Reassignment (Microsoft Word Format). Reassignment should be considered the Reasonable Accommodation of last resort, and only be used when no other accommodation can be effectively granted in an employee's current position.
