Henry A. Wallace Exhibit
Believing science to be the best hope for sustaining agriculture and preserving the environment, Wallace directed a major expansion of the Beltsville Agricultural Research Center in the 1930's. He was also responsible for the 1936 and 1937 Yearbooks of Agriculture, which were the first devoted to agricultural research and plant genetics.
