  Henry A. Wallace Exhibit
Portrait of Henry A. Wallace Wallace was one of the country's greatest Secretaries of Agriculture (1932-1940). He created the Agricultural Adjustment Act, which stabilized farm prices and conserved soil, helping farmers survive the Great Depression. The Rural Electrification Administration, food stamps, school lunch program, and Food for Peace were also begun under Wallace.
