Clinical Trials Update: Oct. 2, 2008

(HealthDay News) -- Here are the latest clinical trials, courtesy of CenterWatch:

Melanoma

If you are 18 or older, have histologically confirmed Stage IV melanoma of cutaneous origin, a life expectancy of greater than 12 weeks, and are able to provide informed consent, you may qualify for this study.

Renal Cell Carcinoma

If you are 18 or older, have a life expectancy of at least 12 weeks, a histologically confirmed diagnosis of RCC (clear cell component) with advanced or recurrent disease that is not amenable to cure by surgery or other means, and have failed at least one prior systemic therapy, you may qualify for this study.

The research site is in Cleveland, Ohio.

Cancer/Tumors

If you are an adult in remission from cancer and are having trouble sleeping, you may qualify for this study. Participants may use a program called "Sleep Healthy Using the Internet," and listen to self-hypnosis recordings.

The research site is in Charlottesville, Va.
