Employment Resource Referral Directory

Introduction

In keeping with its compliance assistance thrust, the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) has developed an Employment Resource Referral Directory, (hereinafter "directory") that lists governmental and non-governmental not-for-profit organizations as references to assist hiring of qualified applicants by contractors. This directory will enhance access to various programs that assist in providing job referral services to veterans, individuals with disabilities, women and minority groups. The purpose is to facilitate contractor compliance, increase the usefulness of resource organizations to the contractor community and reinforce the Linkage Program.

OFCCP hopes that corporate EEO Directors and their staffs will have at their disposal a wide spectrum of not-for-profit organizations that provide a steady stream of qualified applicants while also assisting to fulfill contractors' affirmative action and EEO obligations.

Procedures for Getting on Referral List

OFCCP recognizes that this directory may not be all-inclusive of job referral resources and therefore invites entities wishing to be included in this list. This will assist OFCCP to keep the directory current and reflective of the total mix of organizations. Any organization that wishes to get on the Referral List should submit its name, address and brief description of its goals and activities to the OFCCP National Office. The address is:

We will make every effort to keep this document current and to correct errors brought to our attention.

At no time will OFCCP be responsible for the accuracy, timeliness, or completeness of the information related to any organization. It is for the organization that desires to be included in the directory to provide current, accurate, timely and complete information and a narrative of its activities and responsibilities as to enable contractors to evaluate the organization and its usefulness. Listing in this directory does not guarantee that an organization will be contacted or used by a Federal contractor or subcontractor. All linkages are to be negotiated and arranged by the contractor and the specific resource organization and do not need OFCCP approval.

Sources on List

The directory lists hundreds of governmental and non-governmental not-for-profit resource organizations that can provide workers having a variety of job skills and capabilities and are work-ready. These resource organizations are listed by state in alphabetical order for ease of reference. Where possible, website addresses of these organizations are given. Every effort is made to ensure that descriptions of activities and capabilities are precise. OFCCP does not control or guarantee the accuracy, relevance, timeliness or completeness of the information provided by the resource organizations.

In order to improve the usefulness of this directory, OFCCP will appreciate receiving feedback from contractors, resource organizations, veteran, women's' and minority groups/associations, the public and other stakeholders. Suggestions and recommendations for improvement should be sent to the National Office. OFCCP will seriously consider each recommendation for inclusion in the directory.
