Online Reporting


If this is an Emergency please call 911. If this incident is Traffic Crash Related, please call Orlando Police Communications at 321-235-5300. Using this system allows you to submit a report immediately. Please confirm the following to find out if online filing is right for you:

  • This is not an emergency.

  • This incident occurred within the limits of the City of Orlando, Florida.

  • There are no known suspects. IF YOU HAVE A SUSPECT you CANNOT use this system. You will need to contact the Orlando Police Communications Center at 321-235-5300 and have an officer respond to take a report.

  • There are no firearms or other weapons involved. If so, you CANNOT use this system. You will need to contact the Orlando Police Communications Center at 321-235-5300 and have an officer respond to take a report.

  • You are at least 18 years of age.

If you answered yes to all of the above, you are ready to file your report online. If you answered no to any of these please look at our Frequently Asked Questions section.

Upon completion of submitting the online report you will:

  • See the words: "Your report has been submitted" showing that your report is complete.

  • Be given a temporary case number.

  • Be able to print an unofficial copy of the report to keep for your records.

  • Be sent confirmation and an official copy of your report by e-mail so long as:
    -You provide a valid e-mail address,
    -You may need to add
    onlinereporting@cityoforlando.net to your contact list so that the notifications are not rejected by your e-mail provider as "spam" or junk e-mail.

*** Please do not use this e-mail address to report crimes other than those listed below or to request information on previous crimes reported to an officer.  You can contact the Communications Center at 321-235-5300 to report any other type of crime.  For information on cases already submitted please contact Police Records at 407-246-2406.

Please Note:

  • All cases filed online will be reviewed.

  • Upon review, if further investigation of your case is needed, you may be contacted.

  • Upon approval by an Orlando Police representative, you will be notified by e-mail of the permanent case number and also receive a copy of the approved case.

  • If the case is rejected by an Orlando Police representative, you will be notified by e-mail of the reason for the rejection.

  • Filing a false police report is a crime.

Answer: If your incident is an emergency, call 911. If it is not an emergency, call 321-235-5300.

Question: What if this happened in another county or city? Can I file a report using this system?
Answer: No, if a crime did not take place in the City of Orlando, Florida, please call the Law Enforcement Agency that serves your city or county.

Question: What if this incident is related to a traffic crash?
Answer: If this incident is related to a traffic crash please call the Orlando Police Communications Center at 321-235-5300.

Question: What is a known suspect?
Answer: A known suspect is when you or someone else knows the person or where to find the person who committed the crime or the license plate number of the vehicle the suspect(s) was/were in.

Question: What if a firearm or another type of weapon was involved?
Answer: If a firearm or another type of weapon was involved, then the incident requires a police officer to personally gather the information. Please call the Orlando Police Communications Center at 321-235-5300 to have a police officer dispatched to you.
