CORSIM COURSE
Course Length: 1/2-Day to 1-Day
This course provides a basic understanding of the traffic analysis software model known as CORSIM. CORSIM is a tool that simulates traffic and traffic control conditions on combined surface street and freeway networks to determine how traffic engineering and control strategies impact operational performance.

INCIDENT MANAGEMENT SEMINAR

ITS ARCHITECTURE & STANDARDS CONFORMITY: FHWA RULE & FTA POLICY

ITS AWARENESS SEMINAR
Course Length: 1/2-Day
This seminar provides an overall understanding of ITS and ITS infrastructure. The curriculum illustrates the nine ITS infrastructure components. Institutional and technical elements in deploying ITS infrastructure are presented. This overview includes planning, design, architecture, standards, procurement, installation and construction, operation and maintenance, and funding. The benefits of ITS are also highlighted by showcasing systems deployed around the Nation.

This seminar is intended to raise awareness of the challenges on procuring ITS components within the traditional construction-project environment. It combines lectures and case studies to describe lessons learned from past ITS projects, and explains how this knowledge can be incorporated to help ensure successful ITS procurement.

ITS STANDARDS OVERVIEW & DYNAMIC MESSAGE SIGN (DMS) SPECIFICATION WORKSHOP
Course Length: 1/2-Day
The ITS Standards Overview is intended to broaden participant's understanding of ITS standards and associated topics. Information will be presented on the various standards that are being developed. The ITS Specifications Workshop is intended primarily to provide transportation professionals with a greater understanding on the standard specification development process. It will broaden participant's knowledge and use of standards, and enhance their ability of to incorporate standards into specifications or statements of work for procuring ITS components.

(FUNDAMENTALS OF) ROAD WEATHER SEMINAR
Seminar length: 1/2-Day
This seminar provides a basic understanding of Road Weather Management. The intent of this seminar is to facilitate deployment of integrated road weather systems, decision support applications, and tools and practices in response to adverse weather that meet the needs of all transportation system users and operators. This workshop targets traffic and emergency managers who are responsible for the development and deployment of effective road weather management tools and practices that improve safety and usability.

RURAL ITS TOOLBOX WORKSHOP
Workshop length: 1/2-Day
It has become increasingly common for States and regions to consider the potential of planning, developing, and deploying ITS solutions for their rural and small urban areas. This workshop will discuss successful Rural ITS Projects and Statewide ITS planning initiatives from across the nation. It will guide participants through proven processes and initiatives for the successful deployment of Rural ITS. By presenting the material in the form of a half-day workshop, it is hoped that the practitioners will become familiar with the toolbox, learn how to apply it and encourage its use within their operations.
