OMB Bulletin 01-02 required the OIG to perform certain audit procedures to assist the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) in assessing the reasonableness of Retirement, Health Benefits, and Life Insurance withholdings and contributions made by the Department, as well as headcount information submitted by the Department to OPM.

We determined that the Department used the correct withholding formulas and calculated amounts with insignificant deviations for the employee benefits, and no significant errors occurred on headcount reports it filed with OPM..
