On September 17, 2001, President Bush appointed native Missourian Brad Scott as Regional Administrator of GSA's Kansas City-based Heartland Region.

From this position, Scott continues his more than 12 years of public service. Prior to his appointment, he served in 2001 as the acting chief of staff and in-state chief of staff for freshman Congressman Sam Graves. In 2000, he was the campaign manager for Jim Talent’s race for governor. Before that, Scott served as the political director for Senator Bond’s re-election campaign, campaign manager for Congressman Kenny Hulshof, and western Missouri field representative for Senator Bond’s re-election effort.

Scott was born in Warrensburg, Missouri. He graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia with bachelor’s and master’s degrees in political science.

Brad Scott resides at Lake Lotawana, Missouri with his wife and son.
