Program Description
Members of this unit are cross trained as Community Emergency Response Team members. As part of our working fire assignment, these members respond and conduct fireground activities such as firefighter rehab, crowd control, lighting etc. Team is still in the training process and will be up and running soon. Very good way to keep CERT members active in the community. Members also staff station and evacuation centers during emergencies. Team was utilized this past winter during snow emergency. Members also set up secondary radio transmitter in our emergency operations center. Very active group of volunteers and we are proud of their efforts.
