HCHB Recycling Program

There are central collection points for recycling located near the service elevators in the
3rd and 5th corridors

ITEM		Where Does it Go?	Special Instructions
	Aluminum Drink Cans Plastic Drink Containers	Bins located in the central collection points or cafeteria marked to accept cans, plastic and glass	Ensure containers are empty
	Newspaper Magazines Other Paper	The central collection points have bins for collecting newspaper, magazines, white paper, and color paper.	Please remove paper clips, plastic covers, and sticky notes.
	Bond Paper White Paper	Small boxes are available (call 482-3580) for collecting paper at your desk. When full, empty the boxes at the central collection points.
	Cardboard	Stack cardboard neatly in the corridor so the housekeeping crew can pick it up.	Break down boxes and remove plastic and packing material that is not cardboard or paper.
	Cell Phones Rechargeable Batteries	Bring rechargeable batteries and cell phones to room 1036 for recycling.
	Toner Cartridges Ink Jet Cartridges	Deliver these items to the Supply Cart in room B322 of the HCHB for recycling or follow manufacturers instructions for returning spent cartridges.
	Styrofoam Plastic Utensils Paper Napkins Food Containers	These items are not recycled	Do not put these items in recycling bins
	Scrap Metal
