The Working Partners Web site was developed to help employers, employees and others
learn about how substance abuse impacts employment and the workplace, and how to develop
drug-free workplace programs that protect employee safety and health. If you have a question
related to these issues, the fastest way to get an answer may be to browse our Web site, including
our Frequently Asked Questions.
If you do not find an answer to your question, you may contact us using the details listed below.
Please note, however, that the U.S. Department of Labor does NOT regulate workplace drug testing
and thus is not equipped to provide guidance on how employers implement drug-testing procedures
or advise about employee rights as they relate to drug testing. There are other Federal laws, such
those governing the transportation industry (contact DOT's Office of Drug and Alcohol Policy and
Compliance for information) as well as state laws
that may impact how drug testing should be implemented.
