GSA's Northwest/Arctic Region and its employees believe in the value and importance of outreach to, and civic service within the many communities where we have a presence. Ways in which we positively impact these communities include:
Contributing Time and Talent—volunteering locally GSA employees often take time out of their busy schedules to volunteer at a variety of local nonprofit organizations and schools. Their commitment and enthusiasm on behalf of those local organizations are helping ensure greater opportunities and a better future for all of our citizens.
Contributing Financial Resources
The Northwest/Arctic Region actively supports the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) each year. Along with many other federal employees and military personnel throughout the nation, GSA employees raise millions of dollars through the CFC to benefit thousands of nonprofit organizations.
Computers for Learning program
Established by Executive Order, the The Computers for Learning (CFL) program directs federal agencies, to the extent permitted by law, to transfer computers and related peripheral equipment excess to their needs directly to schools and educational nonprofit organizations.
GSA actively participates in the CFL program, and helps provide other federal agencies with a virtually paper-free system of transferring computers to qualified schools and educational non-profit organizations. GSA's Northwest/Arctic Region helps connect the registered needs of schools and educational nonprofit organizations with available federal computer equipment.
