Benzodiazepine Use and Incidence of Hip Fracture among Women in Medicaid Before and After NY Regulatory Surveillance

Data is based on New York and New Jersey. The charts show that benzodiazepine use decreased in both States after the implementation of the policy—a slight decrease in New Jersey and a more dramatic decrease in New York. The cumulative incidence of hip fracture rose steadily in both States.
