Cool
Facts:
At Patuxent,
we identify each egg with numbers. An average Whooping Crane (WC) egg is 102 mm long (4 inches), and
weighs 208 grams (7 ounces). Both parents take turns incubating the
egg. They do this by using their bodies to keep the egg warm, and by
turning it so the chick grows properly.
