Expand Your Business to the United States - CASE

SEMINAR – DECEMBER 2, 2008 AT THE ATOMIUM

With over 300 million people and the largest economy in the world, the United States of America is the most important market for any international company.   The American workforce ranks as one of the most educated, productive and innovative in the world.   As a place to do business, the United States offers a transparent legal system, outstanding infrastructure, and access to the world’s most lucrative consumer market.

In order to inform Belgian firms about investment and business opportunities in the United States, the Council of American States in Europe (CASE) along with the U.S. Department of Commerce will organize a seminar on December 2, 2008 at the Atomium (Brussels).  This special program will also be offered in Paris and Cambridge.

In addition to high-profile firms and speakers addressing cultural, legal, tax, industry cluster and visa issues, Belgian entrepreneurs from various sectors, including bioscience, medical devices, ICT and advanced manufacturing, will share their experiences of doing business with the United States.  After the presentations, various specialists and state representatives will be available for one-on-one meetings.  Being that the event is soon after the U.S. election, a discussion on the impact of the results on international business will be held.

This half-day seminar will start at 8:00 a.m. with a welcome breakfast.  Participation is free-of-charge, but anyone interested in the event must register.  For more information, feel free to contact CASE Director Sharon Stead Galantino at 02-643-7184 or investinamerica@N0SPAM.illinoiseurope.com .
