Wes Irvin is the Associate Administrator for the Office of Communications & Congressional Affairs. Wes also served within DOT as the Director of Congressional and Public Affairs at the Maritime Administration, where he managed the press and congressional staffs. Wes has served as the Director of Communications and Press Operations for members of both the U.S. House and Senate – including Congressman Frank R. Wolf and Congressman Ernie Fletcher as well as U.S. Senator Mike DeWine, and on the successful campaign of Governor Ernie Fletcher as his Communications Director. Wes has a master's degree in public communication from The American University and a bachelor's degree in political science from Plymouth State College in New Hampshire. He is a native of Edinburg, Virginia, in the Shenandoah Valley and currently lives in Annapolis with his wife Tricia, daughter Ashby and son Jack.
