Facilitating information exchange on cost-effective methane emissions reduction technologies and practices is the core mission of the Natural Gas STAR Program. The Natural Gas STAR Program hosts a series of Technology Transfer Workshops and an Annual Implementation Workshop each year to further this goal.

Annual Implementation Workshop

Each year, EPA sponsors an Annual Natural Gas STAR Implementation Workshop to further the Program’s primary goal of facilitating information exchange about cost-effective methane emission reduction technologies and practices. This conference brings together Natural Gas STAR partners and industry experts to discuss the latest technologies and practices.

Technology Transfer Workshops

These workshops provide a forum for oil and natural gas companies to receive and share detailed information about current cost-effective technologies and practices to reduce methane emissions in their specific sector. Workshops are free-of-charge and all are welcome.

International Technology Transfer Workshops

Flaring and Venting Reduction & Natural Gas Utilization ForumExit EPA Disclaimer

Sponsored by the Global Gas Flaring Reduction Partnership, the Methane to Markets Partnership, and the EPA Natural Gas STAR Program.

Co-Sponsored by the EPA Natural Gas STAR Program, the Methane to Markets Partnership, and the Global Gas Flaring Reduction Partnership, this two-day Global Forum will bring together high-level representatives from governments, oil and natural gas companies, international financial organizations, and technology and service providers to discuss issues and options in flaring and venting reduction.

This Global Forum will be dedicated to discussing policies and regulations that enable flare and vent reduction investments. It will also look into the potential contributions of emerging gas utilization technologies, and will provide the opportunity for sharing best practice in use of established natural gas utilization technologies, and discussing opportunities to improve economics of flare and vent reduction investments.
