As the Deputy Regional Administrator for the Heartland Region, Michael T. Brincks oversees the Heartland Region's provision of real estate services, supplies and information technology to other federal agencies in Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska and Kansas.

Prior to becoming the Deputy Regional Administrator, Mr. Brincks was the Heartland Region's Director of Portfolio Management for GSA's Public Buildings Service. He was responsible for strategically managing the region's real estate portfolio of more than 21,000,000 square feet, in more than 450 federally-owned and leased buildings.

Mr. Brinks has also held positions as Director of PBS's West Service Center and Director of PBS's Property Acquisition and Realty Services Division. He served eight years as an attorney in GSA's Office of Regional Counsel where he practiced primarily in the areas of real estate, procurement, construction and tort law.

Before joining GSA, Mr. Brincks was an attorney with the law firm of Rose, Jackson, Brouillette and Shapiro where he concentrated in the areas of real estate, construction and corporate law. He holds a bachelor of arts in political science from the University of Iowa and a juris doctor from the University of Iowa's College of Law.
