Through a grant awarded to the Vermont Department of Labor and Industry, the Associated General Contractors of Vermont assist mine owners and operators and independent contractors working at mining operations throughout the State in the development of Part 46 training plans and by conducting Part 46 health and safety training classes.

In addition to the required topics specific to Part 46, training sessions include discussions of job site safety and where applicable, the many facets of heavy equipment operation.

Training classes include:
  • Part 46 New Miner Training;
  • Part 46 Newly Hired Experienced Miner Training;
  • Part 46 Annual Refresher Training
