Audience
Smoke management professionals involved in policy development and daily burn decisions, agency professionals involved in developing burn plans and that conduct burning of forest, grass and other wildland as well as agricultural field burning for crop residue disposal.

Goal of Meeting: The goal of this meeting is to:
- identify barriers to improved coordination and communication among agencies managing smoke and,
- discuss actions that can be taken to improve communication and coordination among agencies involved in burning and managing smoke from forest, range, and agricultural lands for resource management.
This goal may be facilitated by:
- Appreciation of differing perspectives on the use of fire as a management tool, in the areas of
- Air Quality
- Public health
- Forest health/agricultural management practices
- Understanding of current and new technical tools available for making burn decisions and the resources needed to fund and support use of these tools,
- Heightened awareness of decisions and actions impacting others in shared airsheds.
