Information for Registrants

If you filled out an Update Interest Form and have received an email confirmation from BIS that you may register for Update 2007, the following information applies:

You must register on or before September 14, 2007. After this date, your registration will be forfeited and transferred to someone on the wait list.

The registration fee for Update 2007 is $735 and includes an Exhibit Hall Reception on October 31, Gala Reception on November 1, breakfasts and lunches on November 1 & 2, and program materials.

Payment Method

Online registration is required regardless of payment method. You may pay by credit card (M/C, VISA, American Express) or by check. Checks should be made out to the BIS Seminar Trust Fund 96B8000. All checks must be received by BIS on or before October 19.

Cancellations/Refund Policy

A refund, less a $50 administrative charge, is available for cancellations made on or before Friday, September 28, 2007. No refunds are available after Friday September 28, 2007.

Cancellation requests must be made by email to Updateconference@bis.doc.gov. Please put “Cancellation Request” in the subject line.

Transferring Your Registration Authorization

If you would like to allow someone else from your organization to register in your place, you must receive prior approval from BIS. Transfer requests must be made by email to Updateconference@bis.doc.gov. Please put "Registration Code Transfer Request" in the subject line along with the new contact information. BIS will then send an email confirmation to both you and the new registrant with registration instructions.

Subsequent Transfers

After you have registered, you may also transfer your registration to another member of your organization at any time on or before October 26, 2007. Please note that BIS is unable to accommodate requests for changing the payment method or transferring charges to another credit card account. Transfer requests must be made by email to Updateconference@bis.doc.gov. Please put "Registration Transfer Request" in the subject line along with the new contact information.

Registrations may NOT be transferred outside of your organization. Registrations may NOT be resold.

Important Deadlines

September 14 - last day to register using your registration ID
September 28 - last day to cancel your registration
October 19 - check payments must be received by BIS
October 26 - last day to transfer your registration
