1998 Monthly Arrivals January - May Now Available!

Do you need to know how many tourist visitors are coming to the U.S. on a monthly or quarterly basis?

Do you need to know where they are coming from - by world region or country of residence?

Do you need to know what port-of-entry visitors are using? How many by port and from where?

Then the U.S. source is Tourism Industries* *Summary of International Travel to the U.S.* report.

Tourism Industries developed a new processing system in conjunction with the Immigration and Naturalization Service to improve both timeliness and accuracy in reporting tourist visitor arrivals.

This new processing system allows Tourism Industries to get monthly tourist arrival figures earlier, which means we can review the data sooner and ultimately publish the visitor arrivals in a more timely manner.

To date, Tourism Industries has released and published the Summary of International Arrivals report (a monthly report) for January - December 1997 and January - May 1998. June data will be released by mid September.

To view Table C. from the report on-line go to http://tinet.ita.doc.gov - go into the monthly tourism statistics section, choose arrivals to the U.S., then 1998.
