Tourism Industries, as part of its outreach role with the Commercial Service in Frankfurt, announces two travel trade educational seminars for U.S. travel and tourism partners. In addition, TI announces market specific data for Germany to help the industry prepare for these shows.

Educational Seminars: The Visit USA Committee Germany e.V., with the support of the U.S. & Foreign Commercial Service, is planning two travel trade educational seminars, USA Trade Days, on Nov. 2, 1999, in Frankfurt, and Nov. 3, 1999, in Stuttgart. This is an opportunity for U.S. travel and tourism partners to educate up to 400 German travel agents (200 approximately per event).

These day long seminars include an introductory slide show on the United States, an educational component, in which a virtual trip through the United States will familiarize German travel agents with partners' travel products (includes presentations by partners), a travel market, and an interactive component (quiz with travel prizes).

Cost for participation at the travel market is approximately $775 per event. There is also a literature distribution option available at $420. Visit USA Committee Germany e.V. members receive a 33% discount on these prices and have the opportunity to make a presentation (limited availability) for a $195 fee. The deadline for registration is August 25, 1999. To participate in the USA Trade Days, please contact the Visit USA Committee or the Foreign Commercial Service.
