State Data Analysis Reports*
- State Data Analysis Reports* are now included in the Improvement Area. These new reports provide additional information to assist States in identifying and monitoring their State's data quality activities that directly impact the monthy SSDQ evaluation. Report titles identify the SSDQ measure each report complements. In addition, each report includes a report description and the ability to download the report data for further analysis. Reports will be updated monthly to coincide with the monthly SSDQ update. New reports include:
- Crash Timeliness – Monthly Analysis
- Crash Accuracy – Records Reported by Badge #
- Inspection Timeliness – Monthly Analysis
- Inspection Timeliness – Records Reported by Inspector ID
- Inspection Timeliness – Records Reported by Inspection Facility Type and Inspection Level
- Inspection Accuracy – Records Reported by Inspector ID

- The October 7, 2008 SafeStat release and Inspection Selection System-D (ISS-D) results are now available in SafeStat Online for all Interstate and Intrastate carriers. This release is based on data as of September 26, 2008.
Crash Statistics
- * The National Profiles section now includes eighteen (18) updated FARS reports that are available through the State Comparison area. These reports contain descriptive statistics about fatal crashes that involved large trucks, motor coaches, and buses. Data are presented by State for 1994-2007.

Passenger Carrier Safety
- The October 7, 2008 Passenger Carrier Safety release is now available. This release is based on the updated SafeStat results using data as of September 26, 2008.

Driver Information Resource*
- The October 7, 2008 Driver Information Resource (DIR) data release is now available. This release is based on the September 26, 2008 MCMIS data snapshot. The DIR provides a web-based lookup capability that allows FMCSA and State enforcement personnel to search, via a secure password, a driver’s crash and inspection history by driver name, commercial driver license number or carrier identification information.

NAFTA Safety Stats
- The NAFTA Safety Stats reports have been updated using the June 20, 2008 MCMIS data snapshot. This update includes motor carrier census, roadside inspection, traffic enforcement, compliance review, and crash data up to June 20, 2008.* The US and Mexican Carrier Report has also been updated.
* New Level VI inspections (North American Standard Inspection for Transuranic Waste and Highway Route Controlled Quantities (HRCQ) of Radioactive Material) are now included in the Inspection Level reports in the Inspection Statistics and Commercial Zone sections.

Crash Statistics
- The About Statistics* section has been updated with the quarterly release of State Crash Records (formerly called "Safety Plan Crash Data"). The data have been updated based on the June 20, 2008 MCMIS data snapshot. A file is generated for each State and it contains fatal and non-fatal crash records reported by the States to MCMIS and fatal crash records from the FARS. Each file now contains MCMIS records from 2002 – 2008 and FARS records from 2002 – 2006.
- The Crash Reporting Status — Quarterly Updated Reports*, located in the National Profiles section, have been updated for the years 2003–2008 from the June 20, 2008 MCMIS data snapshot. These reports provide summarized statistics on the National Governors' Association (NGA) reportable crash records for each service center and State.

Data Quality
FARS/MCMIS Matching*
- The FARS/MCMIS Matching Tool now has the capability for States to add review comments on each record evaluated. Comments can describe actions to be taken or reasons why records may not match. This tool provides States with crash information that can be used to reconcile differences between the FARS and MCMIS databases. Records are presented in sets as "matched," "potentially matched," and "not matched".
- The National and State FARS/MCMIS Matching Tool results have been updated to reflect matching results using the June 20, 2008 MCMIS data snapshot.
