The position is based in Washington, DC. It is offered at one of four levels (GS-9/11/12/13), depending on the experience/qualifications of the applicant. A GS-9 starts at $43,365, the GS-11 starts at $52,468, the GS-12 starts at $62,886, and a GS-13 starts at $74,782. DUTIES: At the full performance level the candidate serves as the contract manager for the Canadian Travel Data Program, Travel Receipts and Payments Data Program, Mexico Data Program, and a quarterly Internet based Travel Barometer. The Canada program involves reporting monthly Canadian travel flows and issuing an annual report on Canadian travel to the United States. The Travel Receipts and Payments program uses the Bureau of Economic Analysis export and import data for travel and passenger fares as well as other export/import data to report on the spending of international travelers at the country and state level on travel payments and receipts data on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis to illustrate the importance of travel as an export for the country. The Mexico Data Program is a new cooperative effort with the Bank of Mexico in which the analyst will work to report on travel to and from Mexico based upon the Bank's data. Other duties include working with clients to assist them in understanding and using the data.
