Travel & Tourism Promotional Advisory Meeting – February 11, 2004

CANCELLED

The U.S. Travel and Tourism Promotion Advisory Board meeting scheduled for Wednesday, February 11, 2004, at Loews L’Enfant Plaza Hotel in Washington, DC has been cancelled.

The Office of Travel and Tourism Industries continues to progress on the procurement action to select an advertising agency as a primary contractor. On January 28-30, 2004, the procurement team and representatives from the Advisory Board received oral presentations from prospective marketing companies. An award announcement is expected to be made in March, which represents a slight delay from the previously outlined award date. Once an agency is selected and a preliminary marketing campaign concept is created, the Chair will reconvene the Board to review the campaign.
