Participate in the UITT 2004 to Reach the Ukrainian Market
This is an opportunity to get a jump on a new niche market to the U.S.
in a region that is showing an increased interest and ability to travel
to the United States.
According to the Office of Travel & Tourism Industries’ newest
international travel forecast, the Eastern European market to the U.S.
will grow steadily through 2007, surpassing 450,000 visitors. From 2003
until 2007, U.S. arrivals from Eastern Europe are forecasted to increase
29 percent, and the Ukrainian market is expected to share in this growth.
Year to date through November 2003, there was a 24 percent increase in
Ukrainian visitors to the U.S. In addition, the U.S. Commercial Service
in-country reports an increased interest from local travel companies in
selling U.S. destinations.
Participate in UITT
UITT (Ukraine International Travel and Tourism) is the largest travel
and tourism exposition in the Ukraine. In 2003, the event hosted over
550 exhibitors from 42 countries, 35,000 visitors (over 7,500 trade visitors);
almost 85% of exhibitors and visitors were senior corporate executives.
The show features national tourist boards, tour operators, airlines, cruise
lines, hotels and travel agencies as well as key local industry players.
UITT is an official exhibition of the World Tourism Organization (WTO).
The U.S. Commercial Service (CS) Kiev will manage the Product Literature
Center for Visit USA at UITT, March 31-April 3, 2004. The CS Kiev Booth
will exhibit catalogs and promotional information from U.S. firms and/or
industry associations, and CS Kiev commercial specialists will distribute
them to potential Ukrainian buyers. Following the show, a list of potential
Ukrainian buyers and/or business partners will be provided to each participant.
