Make sure your destination/business is capturing this significant market - be a part of the U.S. Pavilion at BIT 2004, Italy's most important tourism trade show.

As the seventh largest overseas market to the U.S., the Italian market is forecasted to show strong growth in the coming years. According to the Office of Travel and Tourism Industries forecast, the Italian market is expected to show annual growth of 5, 8 and 7 percent in the next three years.

The U.S. Commercial Service of the U.S. Consulate in Milan is organizing a U.S. Pavilion at BIT (Borsa Internazionale del Turismo), which will take place in Milan from February 14-17, 2004. BIT is considered the most important tourism trade show in Italy and one of the most important tourism shows in Europe.

Participation in the U.S. Pavilion at BIT is your opportunity to increase your visibility and the flow of Italian tourists to your destination. In 2003, over 87,000 trade representatives and journalists, and 41,000 general visitors attended BIT. The U.S. pavilion had 90 exhibitors, including major destinations and tourism service suppliers. In total, BIT features over 5000 companies.

For those who participate in the U.S. Pavilion, the U.S. Commercial Service will provide-For Free-an updated electronic mailing list of major travel agents, tour operators, incentive houses, journalists and other important travel industry representatives. Over 1000 contacts in all are included.
