Add Your Destination to the Next Travel Barometer Survey!

Do you have the need for a quarterly travel demand forecast 3 to 6 months out? The U.S. Department of Commerce as an answer for you! The Office of Travel and Tourism Industries (OTTI) conducts a quarterly Travel Barometer survey in the United Kingdom, Germany, and Brazil that will give you a short-term travel trend forecast to the United States.

The survey is a “barometer” of travel demand based on the business activity of in-country travel trade that sell and promote the United States. Now you can add your destination to the quarterly Barometer survey. Further, you can add customized questions to the quarterly Barometer survey.

The next survey will be launched in each of the three markets on December 2, 2002. The survey is conducted via the internet among trade representatives in the market, providing a quick turnaround for results. The new survey series will cover travel demand to the U.S. for the first and second quarters of 2003. There are three subscription options for each market:

• Core Subscription: $800 focuses on U.S. travel demand

• Destination Subscription: $2,400 includes the core subscription and state, city and regional travel demand. (Subscribe by November 29 to add your destination)

• Customized Subscription: $4,999 includes both the Core and Destination Subscription (if applicable) and up to two customized questions. (Subscribe by November 29 to add your customized questions)
