In 2000, Latin America (Mexico, South America, Central America and the Caribbean) represented 15.4 million arrivals and contributed $27.9 billion dollars and 284,000 jobs to the U.S. economy. Latin America continues to be considered one of the top regional tourism markets for the future. The latest forecast estimates over the next four years show the region continuing as a major source of travel to the U.S., with an estimated increase of 19% visitors by 2005, compared to 2000.

La Cumbre is the premier travel industry conference for the sales and marketing of travel to the United States from Latin America and the Caribbean. The event, now in its 13th year, features a structured, computer-matched marketplace enabling buyers and suppliers to meet during scheduled appointments, negotiate rates, and generate significant revenue opportunities.

La Cumbre hosts approximately 1,700 delegates for what is the largest and most comprehensive gathering of travel professionals from throughout the Americas. Participants include more than 500 buyer and 800 supplier delegates, 120 members of the international press corps, the leaders of every Visit USA Committee in Latin America, and the market's premier air carriers and general sales agents. More than 25 countries are represented with the largest delegations traditionally from the U.S., Argentina, Brazil, Colombia and Mexico.

This year's La Cumbre will be held at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada from September 4th through 6th, 2002. To sign up for the conference, or for more information, please visit the official website:
