Expertise:
Research interests:
Research interests include performing hydrologic and biophysical assessments to determine ecosystem dynamics and working to understand how that applies to a changing climate. Relevant experience consists of collecting and analyzing flow hydraulic data on the Middle and North Forks of the Flathead and remote rivers in Alaska, installing and maintaining stream gauges and weather stations, collecting primary productivity and water quality samples from Flathead Lake and tributaries, performing other water quality studies, conducting snow surveys, and classifying and mapping streams in Alaska as part of timber harvest design. My passion for the outdoors, enthusiasm towards scientific research, and love of Montana, allow me to make my avocation my vocation. My goal is to better understand our changing environment at an ecosystem level, and divulge our research findings to the general public as well as decision-makers of local and regional policies.
