Outdoor Advertising - National Study

The studydeveloped survey instruments to measure the types of data gathered to control outdoor advertising by state departments of transportation. It identified the types of data gathered for the control of outdoor advertising as required by the 1965 Highway Beautification Act.

The purpose of the research was to establish data that can serve the knowledge management needs of Federal Highway Administration, state transportation agencies, and the National Alliance of Highway Beautification Administrators (NAHBA). The resulting data is also intended to serve the public and interested parties such as Scenic America, and The Outdoor Advertising Association of America.
