SUBJECT	Modification No. 1 to AL 86-35 Covering Uniform Solicitation Numbering

Acquisition Letter (AL) No. 86-35 dated October 5, 1986 is amended in part to correct the following:

Paragraphs 2 and 3 under Policy - change to read:

(2) Procurement office. (Alpha) Positions 3 and 4 designate the procurement office codes which are already established. (See Exhibit D of the DOC Procurement Data System Handbook.)

(3) Agency/Bureau Procured for. (Alpha) Positions 5 and 6 designate the Agency/Bureau or Sub-Agency Codes that originated the procurement request. (See Exhibit C of the DOC Procurement Data System Handbook.)

Please provide all recipients of the original Acquisition Letter with a copy of this modification.
