Aircraft & Related Products
Trade and Tariffs
Aircraft and related products accounted for approximately 37 percent of total U.S. non-textile industrial exports to Morocco, totaling $141 million. Moroccan tariffs on aerospace products range from 2.5 to 50 percent, with an average of 23.1 percent. The highest tariffs in this sector apply to satellite parts and parachutes.
Moroccan exports to the United States in aerospace are negligible. The United States, as a party to the Agreement on Trade in Civil Aircraft, applies duty-free treatment on an MFN basis to these products.
Tariff Elimination
Tariffs on U.S. and Moroccan aerospace exports will be phased out immediately upon implementation of the agreement, including high value products such as aircraft and radio equipment.
