Previously part of the Department of Economic Security, both Arizona Workforce Informer and Research Administration moved to Commerce in December 2007 to provide more efficient research data and information to Arizona communities, businesses, planners, lawmakers, economists and others. Arizona Minimum Wage Will Rise to $7.25 an Hour in 2009 |
Arizona's minimum wage will increase 35 cents to $7.25 an hour, effective Jan. 1, 2009. The state's minimum wage law, which went into effect in January 2007, requires the minimum wage be adjusted each January based on the over-the-year change in the U.S. All-Urban Consumer Price Index (CPI-U) for August of the previous year. 9/25/2008 read more... |
