CS Beijing Visits Parson's TEDA Soccer Stadium Worksite

Pingping Xie, Chuck Winburn and John Blasius at TEDA StadiumParsons is one of the world's largest engineering and construction companies specializing in the planning and execution of infrastructure, transportation, environmental, industrial manufacturing, energy and petrol chemical projects for private and government clients.

Among other activities in China, Parsons is the Project Manager for the Tianjin TEDA Football Stadium Project, a world-class 35,000-seat stadium. The project is part of the TEDA Promenades Project and is expected to be finished in October of 2003. In addition to the Football Stadium, the Promenades project includes a hotel, convention and exposition center, a water fountain show, and many other entertainment and shopping venues.

Commercial Officer Chuck Winburn and Commercial Assistant Pingping Xie visited the Football Stadium Building site on February 26 to learn about opportunities for U.S. companies to participate in the project. Chuck and Pingping were hosted by Parsons' Technical Director John Blasius, who gave them a tour of the building site and reviewed schedules and future plans. All in all, a great glimpse into how American companies are helping China improve its infrastructure.
