This year, 13 federal agencies submitted 42 entries covering various categories which encompassed best practices such as real estate policy, real property management, acquisition, construction, sustainable development, disposal, budget, performance, and public-private partnerships. Finalists included the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, PBS and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Honorable Mentions included: the U.S. Department of Transportation, and three PBS Regions for independent entries: Heartland Region, Great Lakes Region and the Rocky Mountain Region. All submitted entries will be published in the “2008 Best Practices Edition of the Real Property Policysite Newsletter” and may be viewed at gsa.gov. ### GSA provides a centralized delivery system of products and services to the federal government, leveraging its enormous buying power to get the best value for taxpayers.
